DAY 6

Afton Wyoming to Jackson Wyoming
Our longest day yet, but you wouldn't know it. A constant southerly tailwind and the best scenery we've seen so far made it a pretty easy 112km day.
Afton Wyoming, home to the worlds largest Elk Horn Arch (we soon discovered it was not the worlds ONLY Elk horn arch.. they're quite popular)

The days highlight was the ride through the Targhee National Forest, an absolutely stunning stretch along a raging Snake River full of white-water rafters, the road flowing through the canyon.

We paused to watch an Osprey perched at its nest (with chicks) before soaring over a marshland, swooping for food.

With a whole lotta days camping ahead we stocked up on dehydrated this and just-add-water that and for-when-i-get-the-munchies.

Luke assured me he would carry all the heavy stuff, camping gear etc, and that I would only be carrying clothes and the like.  Well, all of this fit into my panniers.  And it only lasted us 4 days....
