DAY 27

Rest day, Carson City
We got our bikes serviced first thing in the morning, which was free to cycle tourists, which was cool, so thanks to the Bike Smith bike shop in Carson City. We went to a local farmers market and ate fresh strawberries and peaches and got a massage and talked to a never ending supply of local folk eager to talk to us, including the masseuse herself and couple of old Vietnam Vets.

We couchsurfed again, this time with a lady named Susan, who not only put us up for the night, but EAMONN MCCOLL!!! Proof of life!!

Eamonn is our friend from home who's in the States and is about to join us for a week's riding to Yosemite. We also met Alina, a Germain friend of Eamonn's, who's going to join us too. We eat well and catch up on a lot of goss most of the night before hitting the casinos only to be turned away because 25 year old Luke's Australian drivers licence won't suffice, even though 19 year old (underage) Alina's photocopied fake I.D does. Ha. At least Luke probably saved 50 bucks. Anyway it's great to see Eamonn and meet Alina, and we can't wait for the week ahead.
