Carson City, Nevada to Walker, California
And we're off! We said goodbye to Susan and Alex, and Luke, Ada, Eamonn and Alina take off, headed for Yosemite. What a motley crew. Alina and Eamonn are in casual clothes, riding mountain bikes with no luggage, and Luke are I are carrying all of their gear, in our fluro sporty cycling clothes!
Eamonn is wearing a very stupid and very funny bright green skateboarder helmet.
It's just an hilarious days ride, we talk and joke and ride all day through very average town-outskirt scenery. It's also pretty windy and hilly, but we don't notice because we're enjoying ourselves too much. Once we hit California, we rode through some still smouldering hills from a bush fire.. scary!
